Bamboo is a naturally tough and durable fiber. With proper care, your sheets will stand the test of time and still look and feel wonderful

Bamboo, which is native to Asia, is a highly renewable grass; it can grow up to 3 feet a day and reach heights of up to 90 feet. The bamboo stalks are cut, not pulled from the root, making this plant a soil conservation tool.

Bamboo is one of the earth's most sustainable resources. About 40% of the US population has sensitive skin. As bamboo plants require no fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides to grow and harvest, bamboo fiber is naturally hypoallergenic.

Bamboo fiber is naturally antifungal and antibacterial due to an inherent property known as "bamboo kun", which prevents the growth of bacteria. 100% bamboo fiber exhibits a 99.8% kill rate after a 24-hour incubation period, according to a study done by the China Industrial Testing Center (CTITC) in July of 2003.
In a similar study performed by the Japan Textile Inspection Association (JTIA), results showed that bamboo fabric has antibacterial efficiency greater than 70% after 50 industrial washings. Bamboo fiber is mildew-resistant to help maintain a healthy home.

As soft as silk and cashmere and yet highly breathable, bamboo fiber is three to four times more absorbent than cotton. Bamboo sheets are thermal-regulating, as their insulating properties keep you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. A bamboo plant releases about 35% more oxygen than other plants; it plays a critical role in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and is completely biodegradable!

For centuries, bamboo has been used to make everything from tableware, baskets, and musical instruments to furniture, and ultimately even buildings and bridges.
