Colorful fall leaves are just a drive away.
If you look forward to the colors of autumn, below are some of the hot spots you can go to see the colorful foliage, which is at its peak in October:

Where to go the first Two Weeks in October:
- Visit the Letchworth Area - This includes Letchworth Park and the surrounding areas. Take one of the main roads into town, US ALT 20, NY 98, NY 39, NY 238, NY 19A or NY 246 and then veer off the main roads and get lost in the colors of the season.

Where to go second and Third Weeks in October:
- Take a trip to the Buffalo/Erie Shore - This includes the greater Buffalo area and the shore along Lake Erie. Main roads are I-90, US 62, NY 5 and NY 78. Enjoy the colors of fall in the early evening and follow up with a view of a beautiful sunset on the water.

- Autumn leaves bring out a burst of color in Niagara Falls - This includes the Niagara River and the surrounding area, from Tonawanda north. Main roads are US 62, US 190 and NY 31. Park the car and take a stroll along the river for an even better view.

- Drive up to the Ontario Shore - This includes the area from the mouth of the Niagara River west. Main roads are NY 18 and NY 104. Don’t forget your camera to get great shots of the fall colors.

- Take a Sunday drive to the Southtowns and Elliottville - This includes Springville, Sardinia, Ellicottville and the surrounding areas. Main roads are NY 39, NY 16 and US 219. For additional family fun, take the family to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween at one of the pumpkin stands along the way.
