Holiday Shopping Stress Already!

In my family, this weekend will mark the annual pulling of names from a hat to see who the nieces and nephews will be buying a Christmas gift for. After all, there’s only 2 months until Christmas! Over the last 20 years the family has grown by leaps and bounds and we decided the most fair (and economical) way to give gifts is by having each child pick a cousins name. When it’s my children’s turn to pick you’ll see me holding my breath, praying that they don’t pick either of the 2 teenage boys! What do you get a teenage boy now-a-days? They are so hard to buy for…I know, cash is always greatly appreciated. Inevitably we end up with one or both of them and it’s up to me to be creative. I guess I better get used to it now, my boys will be in that teenage category soon enough! Girls are just so much easier to buy for, maybe just because I am one. Who doesn’t love to get clothes and jewelry and pretty girly accessories?!

My own children, on the other hand, have been pretty easy to buy for. My youngest son sent his Christmas list to Santa months ago and it included everything Pokemon. My oldest wants everything electronic and sports related. So the lookout officially begins for bargains and the hard-to find items.

Happy shopping to you and here’s hoping you find the perfect gift for everyone on your list!
