Just a quick update on my resolutions… how are you doing with yours?

Hey ladies!
I thought I’d update you all on my New Year’s Resolutions, as promised!

As far as the “losing the weight for good,” I have been working out 4+ days a week and trying new things in addition to my beloved neighborhood Snap Fitness (I’m actually going to enter a contest there before March starts). With my Shaklee Cinch diet, I’ve lost 10″ across my body, and about 13 lbs in just under 2 months. The inches are the big thing. By the time we leave for Panama in March, I’m hoping to be down another 10+ and definitely more inches. I haven’t deprived myself at all – I’ve been drinking alcohol, eating sweets & pizza… in moderation of course. But, for the remaining time left before my trip I’m cutting anything “bad” for me, out.

My second resolution was to be more consistent with sleep.  I have found that going to bed around 10:30 each night and waking up around 6:30am each morning has been working and I don’t feel as sluggish or run down.  I think this could also have to do with the addition of eating better and being even MORE active, but more and more studies are showing that having a consistent sleep and wake time are the best for your body.  Next step: stop cuddling in bed from 6:30-7!  I’m awake but I don’t want to get UP!  Haha.

Spending more time with myself was my third resolution.  I committed to a massage for myself every 2 weeks (barring any unforseen expenses, of course), and it’s been awesome.  This past Sunday, I had my massage, ran some errands, went for lunch with a dear friend, and drove by the lake before grabbing dinner and coming home.  I also am considering “me” time, the time that I take to take classes at the gym or to work out.  Making that kind of “me” time is a huge priority that is paying off!

Finally, I regret to inform you that I haven’t been flossing.  I need to work on that for March.

How are you gals doing with your resolutions?
