Southtown Teachers’ Center Director Bob Smith and candidate support provider Mary Ann Dates present Frontier Middle School English Language Arts teacher Amber Chandler with a plaque recognizing her for achieving her National Board Certification.

Chandler is the first teacher in the Frontier Central School District to become a National Board Certified Teacher and was one of only 117 teachers in the state to earn the teaching distinction in 2009. Chandler completed a rigorous set of requirements and passed an in-depth exam to become the district’s first NBCT.
